About Us
DR. ALVIN J SMITH
Dr. Smith has been practicing Orthodontics at the same location since 1989. He received his Dental Degree from Meharry Medical College and his Certification in Orthodontics from Howard University. He also earned a Master's Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. He loves eating out with friends and playing volleyball on the weekends.
NETIA
Netia has been an Orthodontic Assistant with us since 2011. Netia is a certified EDDA dental assistant. She graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana and received her Masters in Education at University of Phoenix. Being a mother of three wonderful kids, she splits her time spending time with them, traveling and exercising.
PAULA
Paula is a 2025 graduate of UNO with her B.S. in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Healthcare Management. When Paula is not working or studying, she loves painting and spending time with her cat, Solstice. She is also fluent in Spanish and a proud Honduran.
TRACY
Tracy is a graduate from Xavier University of New Orleans and went on to receive her Masters in Pharmacology at Tulane University Medical School. She is also is a certified EDDA dental assistant. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and later moved down to New Orleans with her family. One of her favorite quotes to live by is "Love what you do and you'll never have to work a day in your life".
Crystel Minor
Crystel graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2020. She went on to receive her Masters in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Tulane University Medical School in 2022. She is also a certified EDDA dental assistant. In her free time she likes to head to the gym and spend time traveling or drawing.
DENA
Dena is a certified orthodontic assistant from Alabama with 11+ years experience in orthodontics. Dena spends her free time with her longhorn cow, Ferdie. She loves to bow hunt, fish, and enjoys spending time outdoors.
